Nathan Fielder, through his projects Nathan For You and The Rehearsal, has established himself as one of the most unique comedic minds of his generation through his combination of intensely awkward and cringe humor combined with elaborately executed set-ups. And if rumors about Fielder’s latest project are true, it may just be his best yet.
While nothing is confirmed and remains rumors at this time, Nathan Fielder has reportedly been visiting Elizabeth Holmes in prison at FPC Bryan, a minimum-security federal facility located about 95 miles northwest of Houston.
Holmes was previously portrayed by Amanda Seyfried in the critically acclaimed Hulu series The Dropout, which was released in 2022. Seyfried’s performance as Holmes — who became known for affecting an unnaturally deep voice — earned her the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

Holmes, 41 years old, was the founder of the company Theranos, which claimed to have revolutionized the blood sampling industry by creating a device that could test for a variety of illnesses with just a small drop of blood, and could be set up at pharmacies like Walgreens.
Theranos’ claims wound up being bogus, however, turning Holmes into one of the most infamous white collar criminals of the 21st century, with Holmes being sentenced to over 11 years in prison and was ordered to repay $452 million in restitution to the victims of the fraud alongside co-conspirator Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani.
“For almost a decade, Elizabeth Holmes fabricated and spread elaborate falsehoods to draw in a legion of capital investors, both big and small, and her deceit caused the loss of hundreds of millions of dollars. Her sentence reflects the audacity of her massive fraud and the staggering damage she caused,” U.S. Attorney Stephanie M. Hinds said at the time of her sentencing in 2022.
“Frauds such as the one perpetrated by Holmes can erode investor confidence which impacts our capital markets. Today’s sentence should serve as a warning that deceiving investors will not be tolerated. The FBI is committed to investigating corporate fraud and working with our partners to help keep our capital markets working effectively,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert K. Tripp added.
Fielder has been further expanding the score of his unique brand of comedy in recent years, as 2023 saw him star in Showtime’s scripted drama The Curse alongside two-time Academy Award winning actress Emma Stone and Benny Safdie. The second season of his hit HBO comedy reality show The Rehearsal is also set to premiere on April 20.
