NFL Fans Clown Cardinals Coach Jonathan Gannon For Yet Again Acting Like A Total Dweeb

Look, maybe the Arizona Cardinals just know something that the rest of us don’t know.

Maybe new head coach Jonathan Gannon turns out to be one of the best coaches in the NFL, and everybody else just looks silly.

But thus far, Gannon looks entirely unfit to lead a pro football team and he’s not doing himself any favors.

Take, for example, Gannon’s initial interactions with his new players.

I mean, what is even happening there?!

It’s not that Gannon isn’t a good football mind. Though Philadelphia Eagles fans will argue that that may, in fact, be the case. But it’s more the way that he interacts with his players.

Fans have expressed doubts over whether the 40-year-old has the necessary bravado to command respect in an NFL locker room.

Those doubts didn’t go away after the Cardinals released a new video on their YouTube channel on Thursday night.

In one part of the video, Gannon is seen welcoming players back to the Cardinals team facility prior to the start of preseason.

“Who drove over here? Quick, let me see your hands,” he asks players. “Who took the bus? Did you have fire in your gut?”

What…

Cardinals players looked just as confused as we were watching the video.

“Did you? We’re here for a reason,” he continued. “Don’t get that twisted. We’re here for a reason. To win games. So if you didn’t have that fire in your gut, you better light the fire pretty fast. Be who you are. Just understand, I’m looking for f—— killers.”

The overarching point of the statement wasn’t all that bad. But the way he got there was absolutely insane, and fans were sure not to let him off the hook.

Good luck, Arizona fans. It could be very, very long season.
