Nick Saban Shared His Favorite Dances And It Sounds Way More Fun Than Dancing With Brian Kelly

Three-star tight end prospect Danny Lewis Jr. committed to play college football at the University of Alabama on National Signing Day. Five days prior, Lewis went viral for a TikTok he posted at LSU and Nick Saban weighed-in on the video on Wednesday.

In the video, which even caused Lane Kiffin to comment, Tigers head coach Brian Kelly is seen dancing far too close to Lewis. At 6-foot-4, 255 pounds, Lewis requires some serious personal space. Kelly did not give it to him. He was violating every middle school dance protocol.

Whether because of the video or not (we’re going to go ahead and say that it is because of the video), Lewis committed to Alabama on Wednesday. Tough scenes for Kelly and LSU.

Lewis was the only recruit that the Crimson Tide landed on NSD, which has lost a lot of its luster because of the early signing period. Nevertheless, he was a good get and plays well above his three-star ranking. Saban had nothing but good things to say.

In addition, Saban spoke about the Kelly grinding video.

The 70-year-old, seven-time national champion coach said he hadn’t seen it. I highly doubt that one of his assistants didn’t show it to him, but he says that he hasn’t watched Kelly dance uncomfortably close to Lewis.

He did, however, share that he likes to dance. In particular, he loves the Cupid Shuffle.

“I have not seen the video, but I like to dance, too,” Saban said. “I like to line dance, do the Cupid Shuffle or whatever they call it, all that stuff. I usually do it in the house at our recruiting parties on Saturday night. Some of it ends up on YouTube. But everybody’s got their way to do what they do whether it’s in recruiting or how they run their program, and there’s a lot of different ways to skin a cat. It’s not for me to judge anybody in terms of what they do.”

We do know that Saban loves the Cupid Shuffle.

He also can get down with ‘The Wobble.’

Saban says that “there’s a lot of different ways to skin a cat” but clearly, what he is doing is working. Kelly, on the other hand, not so much.

Who wouldn’t want to break it down with Nick Saban? Who would want to break it down with Brian Kelly?
