Golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a serious car accident on Tuesday afternoon that left him with multiple leg injuries but for whatever reason, the media is obsessed with bringing up his past.
Hours after the crash, CNN reporter Andy Scholes was forced to issue an apology after he speculated that Woods’ past use of painkillers may have had something to do with the accident despite the fact there was no evidence at the time to suggest the golfer was impaired while behind the wheel.

Stunned, I guess, but not entirely surprised by what we’re seeing here. Tiger, back in 2017, was found by police pulled over to the side of the road, asleep in his car. He had said he had taken a lot of painkillers at that time because we all know Tiger has undergone a lot of surgeries over the years and painkillers have become a part of his life.”
CNN wasn’t the only media company that found themselves under fire over their coverage of Woods’ accident.
While Woods is currently in the hospital recovering from emergency surgery, The NY Post thought it was a good idea to capitalize on the moment and post about his relationship history.

The Post’s tweet quickly went viral because people were angry at the publication for bringing up Woods’ past when it has nothing to do with his current situation.
