  • Odell Beckham Jr. helped lead the Los Angeles Rams to their second Super Bowl in the last four seasons.
  • The 29-year-old wideout posted a season-high nine catches for 113 yards against the Niners.
  • Following the victory, OBJ sent a message to his haters: “I told you!”

While earning a berth to the Super Bowl is a massive accomplishment for any professional football player, arguably no player to punch their ticket to the big game on Sunday was more thrilled than Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The 29-year-old wideout, who was a phenom in his first few years in the league with the New York Giants, saw his career grind to a halt in recent years while playing with the Cleveland Browns.

While Beckham’s Browns’ career got off to a solid start — OBJ racked up 74 catches for 1,035 years and four touchdowns during his first season in Cleveland — the last two seasons saw Beckham’s production fall significantly below the levels that fans had come to expect from the former Pro Bowler. During an injured-shortened 2020 season, Beckham caught 23 balls for 319 yards and three touchdowns, and this season, OBJ has just 17 catches for 232 yards and no touchdowns through eight games.

That all changed when Beckham was cut by the Browns and signed with the Rams earlier this season, though, as OBJ’s performances have helped the Rams make their way to their second Super Bowl in four years. He certainly showed up when the team needed him most, too, as his nine catches for 113 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday were both season-highs.

Following the game, OBJ was understandably jacked up following the Rams’ victory as he yelled “I TOLD YOU!” to his haters during a postgame interview with CBS.

Thanks to their NFC Championship win, the Los Angeles Rams will now face off against Joe Burrow and the AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, February 13. The Rams will also have the benefit of home-field advantage, as Super Bowl LVI is being hosted at SoFi Stadium in Englewood, California.
