The Ohio State Buckeyes have looked like one of the best teams in the nation so far. However, it sounds like the program has had some internal issues regarding practice footage being leaked. Now, it appears the culprit is none other than former All-American Kirk Barton.

Former Ohio State All-American Kirk Barton Leaks Practice Footage, Gets Banned

According to Meet at Midfield, “Kirk Barton and his associate Ken Stickney (known online as ‘Nevadabuck’) used ‘improper and unauthorized access to Ohio State’s internal football video system’ to ‘[expose] team formations, schemes, and personnel changes’ on the website the duo co-founded, Buckeye Scoop.”

This is a rough look for Barton, as he jeopardized the Buckeyes games for his own success. It’s a rather narcissistic approach and Ohio State clearly isn’t having any of it. “Barton and Stickney ‘will not receive Athletics media credentials for the foreseeable future,'” per Meet at Midfield.

Luckily, the Buckeyes caught on and were able to put a stop to Kirk Barton’s antics. What makes it worse is he’s a former All-American for Ohio State. You’d think he’d try not to leak practice footage or personnel updates to ensure the team remains as competitive as possible.

Instead, he and his associate, Ken Stickney, attempted to benefit themselves by leaking information they were not authorized to submit. We would like to believe it was an honest mistake from Kirk Barton. However, “this is hardly Barton’s first public run-in with scandal, as the former media member and current car salesman was accused in the lawsuit of stealing endorsement dollars from website partners and cheating in a Buckeye Scoop-affiliated fantasy football league for financial gain,” per Meet at Midfield.

At least now the Buckeyes can move on and focus on making a run for the National Championship.
