Steelers wide receiver George Pickens wowed viewers at training camp on Tuesday with an incredible one-handed catch. The grab is now going viral on social media sparking a reaction from football fans.

A number of notable accounts are posting the clip as everyone gets excited for the NFL season. This might just take the cake as the best catch of the offseason.

It’s nothing new to Pickens.

Football fans saw this often in the wideout’s rookie year. In fact, the second-round draft pick first made headlines with an incredible training camp grab in 2022.

He followed it up by channeling his inner OBJ in a game against the Browns.

While that reception was Pickens’ official introduction to the NFL, it seems the best could be yet to come.

On Tuesday, the pass catcher went over the top of a Pittsburgh defender, twisting his body midflight to snag a Kenny Pickett throw with one hand.

The catch quickly went viral.

Here’s another angle of the incredible catch.

Pickens hauled in 52 passes last season for 801 yards and four scores.

Knowing his incredible ability to haul in contested catches, many in Pittsburgh grew frustrated with his lack of involvement early in the year. As the offense sputtered, Steelers fans blasted coordinator Matt Canada for not targeting his most talented receiver.

As the season went on, Pickens became a focal point. That came along with a change under center as the team turned to another rookie, Kenny Pickett, at quarterback.

George Pickens will look to build on that production from Year 1, and based on this catch, he could be primed for a big season. He’s already declared himself to be the best wideout in the league. We’ll see if he proves it in 2023.
