The Green Bay Packers have disclosed their financial report for the 2022-23 NFL season, revealing a total revenue of $610.3 million.

The figures were made public on Wednesday, showing a significant contribution to the league’s overall profit of $11.98 billion.

According to documents obtained by Sports Business Journal’s Ben Fischer, the Packers, like all 32 teams in the league, contributed $374 million to the impressive $11.98 billion profit, marking a substantial 7.8% increase from the previous season.

The NFL’s media revenue received a considerable boost from the Amazon Thursday night deal, and even greater revenue is anticipated in the upcoming 2023 season, coinciding with the new $110-billion television package.

This package grants all the four  big networks (NBC, ABC, Fox, and CBS) the right to broadcast the highly-coveted Super Bowl, which is expected to further escalate the league’s financial gains.

Speaking about the new TV deals and the league’s strong ratings, Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy expressed optimism, stating, “Those have built-in increases in them, and this year, we’re in right now, will be the first year of the new TV deals. The ratings are very strong for the NFL.”

Breaking down the Packers’ revenue, their total income was comprised of $374.4 million from the NFL’s national revenue and an additional $235.9 million from local revenue.

The team’s operating profit amounted to approximately $68.7 million, with a net income of $35.6 million after accounting for $541.6 million in expenses.

The financial success of the Green Bay Packers and the NFL as a whole underscores the league’s enduring popularity and strong financial standing, setting the stage for even greater growth and prosperity in the seasons to come.
