Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones has been retired from the NFL since 2019 but played in his last game in 2018 before he was released by the Denver Broncos.

At 39-years-old and just two months away from 40, Pacman Jones hasn’t missed a beat when it comes to speed. We know this because he ran a 40-yard dash on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday and they debuted the footage to the world on Friday.

For context, using NFL Combine times over a period of 13 year, the average 40-yard time for NFL cornerbacks is 4.48 seconds. That is players coming out of college and into the NFL who are young and in the best shape of their lives.

Here’s Pacman Jones running a 40 in 4.515 seconds just two months before his 40th birthday. In the NFL his time was 4.42 seconds…Hasn’t missed a step:

Pat said they got the ‘flattest part’ of the parking lot that they could find. And the plan was to give him a bit of a tail wind. And he crushed it.

The football world was wildly impressed. Dan Orlovsky replied “That so impressive pac 👏 I’m like 5.7 lol.”

Others chimed in with:

“That’s impressive…from a 2 point stance is crazy.”

“Damn. I haven’t ran that fast since I was in junior high.”

“Starting from blocks mignt have gotten him to 4.5 or even a little lower. it always slows you down when you start from the upright position. Still a great run, Pac!”

“My heart dropped when I saw his hat fall off. Thought the dude fell. Also, the dude probably runs a 4.48 with a better start. Still impressive.”

Pacman Jones has stayed busy since retiring. He has taken Chris Henry’s sons on recruiting trips after adopting them, and Chris Henry Jr. received an Ohio State offer in 8th grade.

Hate that he’s in a position to do take them on trips instead of their dad but you love to see him stepping up after Henry passed away.
