Rather than be upset by it, popular golf influencer Paige Spiranac says it’s “flattering” that there are so many copycats out there on social media.

Spiranac, who often refers to herself as The O.G. Golf Girl (Blair O’Neal and Holly Sonders might have something to say about that), has built up an enviable following online.

With almost 4 million followers on Instagram, 985K on X (Twitter), 1.5 million on TikTok, and another 390K on YouTube, the 30-year-old former college golfer has been able to monetize all of that into numerous sponsorships and even her own pay website.

“It’s unbelievably flattering that everyone sees the path that I have taken and have been really successful doing so, and they want to do the same thing,” she recently told the U.S. Sun during a chat at The SI Invitational.

It really has become a industry all its own with the likes of Spiranac, Grace Charis, Karin Hart, Waiyi Chan, Elise Lobb, Bri Teresi, McKenzie Graham, Carolina Carl Romero, Kenzie Cartwright and others.

“When I first started doing this, I was the first one and there was no path, and so I just had to figure it out,” Paige Spiranac told the U.S. Sun.

“My ultimate goal with all of this was to make golf more welcoming and to have more women in the game.”

As for why Spiranac harbors no ill feelings towards all of the women who have followed in her golf spikes, she said, “You can see in two ways. One is where it is competitive and you want to be at the top, but I try to not have that mindset and having healthier of, I want more women in the game. I love that they’re doing it.

“And we’ve created so many jobs within the golf industry for women based off of what I’ve done and what I’ve accomplished. And so I see it as a positive.”

She will get no argument on that from the millions of fans that she and each of the other female golf influencers have managed to accrue.
