Patrick Mahomes Is Getting Crushed For His Terrible Taste In Music

Patrick Mahomes is an incredible talent when it comes to playing quarterback. His ear from music, however, is clearly not as sharp.

During a post-Super Bowl appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Mahomes detailed what the Kansas City Chiefs got into following their Super Bowl victory and paid compliments to arguably two of the most clowned on artists in popular music: The Chainsmokers and DJ Khaled.

While a majority of NFL fans like Mahomes (the same can’t be said about his brother and his wife, though), they were quick to pounce on his apparently terrible taste in music, as he said that The Chainsmokers and DJ Khaled are “every genre of music you need.”

Luckily for Mahomes, his lack of culture couldn’t matter less as the 27-year-old has already established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. Given that Mahomes can usually be seen hanging out with his brother Jackson and wife Brittany — who both just so happen to act like teenage girls — perhaps Mahomes’ taste in music shouldn’t come as a surprise.

In Super Bowl LVII — which saw him take home both his second Super Bowl title and Super Bowl MVP — Mahomes completed 21 out of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns.

This actually isn’t the first time in recent weeks that Mahomes’ taste in music has made headlines, as he told Cooper Manning during Super Bowl week that he owns pairs of cowboy boots specifically to wear to country music concerts.

While it’s obviously still incredibly early, Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are already the betting favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl, according to sportsbooks in Las Vegas. Next season will also feature a Super Bowl LVII rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles at Arrowhead. We have a feeling Mahomes won’t be in charge of making the pregame playlist, though.
