The Premier League’s Proposed Restart Schedule Would Be Wall-To-Wall Chaos — 5 GAMES PER DAY

After over two months of no sports, fans around the world are about to be like a fat kid in a candy store in the coming months, as the transition from no sports to ALL THE SPORTS is going to be blissfully overwhelming.

As things currently stand, June is set to see the restarted of all of Europe’s major soccer leagues: the Bundesliga has already resumed, with England’s Premier League, Italy’s Serie A, and Spain’s La Liga set to follow in the coming weeks. Then, more towards July, it appears as though a bevy of American sports will be returning, with basketball and hockey looking more likely than baseball (the MLB is running into issues due to the owner’s cheapness, what else is new?) at this time.

Europe, obviously, is a little bit further ahead in the process as their “curve” began about two or three weeks before ours. As a result of their advanced timeline, the return of European sports will likely happen a few weeks before the return of American sports — most notably the Premier League, which has recently entered “Phase 2” of its Project Restart, allowing teams and players to resume contact-training.

In addition to the progression to Phase 2, the Premier League has also begun to work out the logistics of when and how these games will be played, and if this newly-released schedule is any indication, then the Premier League’s glorious return to play is going to be true, wall-to-wall chaotic soccer heaven for fans of the sport.
