President Trump might be rich, but he wouldn’t spend his money on the ridiculous ticket prices for Team USA’s World Cup opener.
Next month, Team USA will face Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and the current get-in price for tickets sits at $1k a pop.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino defended the expensive World Cup ticket prices by comparing them to college football ticket prices.
“You cannot go to watch a college game in the U.S., not even speaking about a top professional game of a certain level, for less than $300,” Infantino said at the Milken Institute Global Conference. “And this is the World Cup.”
On Thursday, President Trump was asked about the insane ticket prices for the World Cup, and he appeared shocked when told how expensive they were.

“I did not know that number,” President Trump told The Post just hours after FIFA president Gianni Infantino defended the cost of seats for next month’s tournament. “I would certainly like to be there, but I wouldn’t pay it either, to be honest with you.”
Thankfully for fans, ticket prices on some resale websites are lower due to limited demand.
After months of soaring prices, tickets for the World Cup – on resale sites at least – now seem to be dropping.
