President Trump is smitten with Giants QB Jaxson Dart.

Last week, Dart went viral when introduced Trump at a rally in New York.

“What an honor. What a privilege it is to be here. And without further ado, I grateful, I’m honored. I’m pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump.”

Dart faced immediate backlash for his appearance at the rally and released a statement on Friday.

“This was a unique opportunity. You know, being asked and given the opportunity to introduce the President of the United States, you know, my thinking was pretty simple. And the fact of, you know, I’ve always loved this country.”

“I also understand in this world, politics can be a sensitive matter, a sensitive topic. I also understand that I am the quarterback of the New York Giants, and that involves a lot of responsibility. It’s under a limelight, under a microscope, and there’s a lot that comes with that, and it’s been something that I’ve embraced.”

During an interview with Fox News, Trump spoke about the backlash Dart is receiving, and went on to compliment the Giants QB for his good looks.

“I wish I looked just like Jaxson. This is a guy. I said, is he a male model or what? He’s a handsome guy, like a beautiful guy and, you know, conservative guy. He said, I love you, sir. So when Jaxson gets harassed a little bit, he’s also loved more because we have more people than they do. And a lot of the people like, people in Los Angeles, wealthy people that you I see them all the time. Theyy meet me, they said, sir, I voted for you.”
