You know who really loves the fact that Tiger Woods is back playing regularly on the PGA Tour? No, not golf fans, though they are happy to have him back. The answer is casinos and gamblers.
Do you know how I know this? Because since November of 2017 we have written five posts on sports prop bets using information provided to us by casinos. Of those five posts, three of them centered around Tiger Woods while the other two were for the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft.
So basically, my take on that is Tiger Woods playing in a major is right up there with the NFL’s two biggest days of the year when it comes to gambling.
As such, with The Players Championship taking center stage on the PGA Tour this week, our pals over at BetDSI Sportsbook are offering a list of props for the tournament. And, since it is taking place at TPC Sawgrass, most of the props are centered around the famous “Island Green” on the 17th hole.
As for Tiger Woods chances this week in Ponte Vedra Beach, they’ve got the odds pretty much as a tossup, but not on whether he will win, that’s on whether or not he even makes the cut. (He’s sitting at 35 to 1 odds to actually win The Players Championship.)
