You’ll have to spend a pretty penny if you want to attend the SEC’s game of the week. Undefeated Alabama and Tennessee will face off in Knoxville, with ticket prices exceeding $375 apiece.

And that’s just for the nosebleeds. If you want to find a seat on the 50-yard line, you could be spending up to $3K.

The matchup will feature two of the conference’s top teams, and it is one of the most highly anticipated meetings in this rivalry, particularly among Vols fans.

Tennessee hasn’t beaten the Crimson Tide since 2006. The 15-game winning streak is the longest by either side in the 103-year history of the series.

Of course, Alabama has been ranked in the top 10 in 14 of those 15 contests while Tennesse has been ranked just once. Of those matchups, the Tide have won 12 of them by 20 points or more.

With the Vols finally feeling as if they have a team that can compete on the field, everyone is trying to get their hands on a ticket. It’s driven the prices up exponentially.

Fans on social media are now reacting to the ridiculously high prices for the undefeated showdown.

Fans react to sky-high Alabama-Tennessee ticket prices

Many on social media are responding to the extremely high prices for the upcoming matchup between the Vols and Tide. Take a look.

College football writer Ross Dellenger wrote, “Tickets to the Tennessee-Alabama game on the secondary market are insane. The get-in price (upper deck in the end zone) is at least $350 each. Tickets on the 50-yard line in the lower bowl are going for $2,000-$3,000 each.”

This Tennessee fan posted, “I love the Tennessee Vols just as much as the next guy. But I’d rather sit my happy ass at home and watch the game Alabama game from the comfort of my own couch, than pay $1,000 for 2 tickets. $500/per ticket just isn’t worth it boys.”

He’s not the only one who will be watching from the comfort of his own couch.

This college football account commented, “This is why attendance at College Football games is on the decline. Who wants to pay $400+ to sit in the nose bleeds, when you can sit at home and watch the game on an 80-inch screen TV,” after seeing the sky-high prices.

While the prices will remain high, you can bet that this game will sell out. There are a lot of folks that won’t spend $500-$1,000 on football tickets, but there are a lot of people that will.
