Christmas Day is shaping up to be a major disappointment for NFL viewers. Fans flipped out after seeing that the Rams-Broncos game will be airing on the 25th.

As if that wasn’t enough holiday torture, CBS took things a step further. To be the ultimate Grinch, the network announced that the matchup will be shown as the Nickelodeon broadcast.

The game will likely feature a quarterback battle of Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield, which certainly won’t excite the folks watching at home. Both teams currently sit at 3-9 on the year largely due to ineptitude on the offensive side of the ball.

The Broncos are having trouble putting points on the board, being held to less than 17 points in 10 of 12 games, while the Rams have had to play three different quarterbacks under center. It’s far from the potential Super Bowl preview that many had hoped for when the game was first scheduled.

The meeting being aired on both CBS and Nickelodeon means all ages will be forced to sit through the potential snoozefest. With even the kids having to be exposed to the torture of a Broncos-Rams matchup, fans are posting hilarious reactions online.

One person asked, “What did the kids do to deserve this?” Another said, “This has to be considered some sort of child abuse.”

This fan sarcastically joked, “Instead of receiving coal, all kids on the naughty list should be forced to watch this slugfest of a game.”

We honestly can’t think of a worse gift this Christmas.
