The 2025-26 season has been one to forget for legendary Spanish soccer club Real Madrid. Not only did they fail to win a major trophy for the first time in five seasons, but Los Blancos have also been an absolute disaster behind closed doors.

Former player turned manager Xabi Alonso was fired midway through his first season with the club due to a reported player revolt, and team doctors nearly ruined the career of star forward Kylian Mbappe by performing an MRI on the wrong leg.

Now, it appears things are only continuing to get worse.

As the season winds down, multiple reports have come out regarding discontent between players in the dressing room. That includes several physical altercations, the latest of which landed star midfielder Fede Valverde in the hospital.

Real Madrid Stars Get Into Brutal Fight During Training Session

According to multiple reports, the Uruguayan Valverde and Tchouameni first got into it with one another during training on Wednesday.

However, Spanish media outlet Marca now reports that Valverede refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand prior to Thursday’s training session, heightening the tension between the two.

“The new episode, also starring the Uruguayan and the Frenchman, has ended with Fede in the hospital in an incident that has been internally described by several members of the dressing room as ‘the most serious ever lived in (Real Madrid’s training ground) Valdebebas,’” the report states.

Valverde reportedly suffered a concussion in the fight and needed to be sent to the hospital to receive stitches for a large gash on his head.

The fight comes just days after a reported incident between Mbappe and English superstar Jude Bellingham.

Thankfully for Real Madrid, there are just four games remaining in the league season before players depart for summer break and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

But the club will have plenty of work to do in the offseason to determine who leaves and who stays, as well as how to quell the growing unrest between players.
