A referee is going viral for his fiery reaction during a midweek football matchup between Liberty and Middle Tennessee State. The official attempted to break up a midgame scuffle between opposing players.
That attempt quickly backfired as he was thrown to the ground. He was absolutely fuming upon rising back to his feet.

The ref physically tried to pull one of the players off another after the two sides got into an on-field skirmish. He was tossed to the side during the altercation, but let his voice be heard after the tumble.
The referee quickly rolled back up to his feet before yelling at the Liberty and MTSU players involved.
“He said, ‘See me after this game,'” the broadcaster quipped in response to the sequence of events. Others added onto the hilarious commentary.
“He was HEATED!!”
“He was ready to throw hands!”
That would be the last of the action in a high-scoring game, which Liberty went on to win, 42-35. The two teams traded blows throughout the first half, going into the break even at 21-21.
It would be more of the same with each side finding the endzone twice in the third quarter before the Flames pulled away with their final score.
With the win, Liberty kept is spotless record to move to 7-0 on the season. They continue to sit atop the Conference USA standings as they look to crack the Top 25 for the first time this year.
Middle Tennessee State, meanwhile, fell to 2-6 and 1-3 in league play.
