Rich Ohrnberger, the former NFL offensive lineman and current Fox Sports Radio host, has apologized to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for spreading rumors about his fiancé Brittany Matthews and his brother Jackson Mahomes.

Ohrnberger had previously tweeted that the pair were going to be “banned” from Chiefs games next season. Mahomes responded to the rumor on Twitter saying “Y’all just be making stuff up these days,” while Ohrnberger has since deleted the original tweets and issued an apology.

“I can’t substantiate the information that I tweeted out earlier today regarding Patrick Mahomes and his family,” Ohrnberger tweeted. “The source I received this information from was posing as someone I trust. I will delete this tweet today along with the original thread. Please pass this along.”

Brittany Matthews and Jackson Mahomes not attending Chiefs games during the 2022-23 season would certainly be a bummer for casual NFL fans as people seem to simply love to hate on the pair.

Jackson, Mahomes’ younger brother, made headlines during the 2021 season for his obnoxious TikToks while Matthews recently angered NFL viewers for spraying champagne on fans following the Chiefs’ AFC divisional-round victory over the Buffalo Bills.
