A hot mic from the CBS broadcast of the New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos game picked up what Jets head coach Robert Saleh said to Broncos head coach Sean Payton when the pair shook hands at midfield.

While the below viral tweet suggests that Saleh says “Stay humble,” closer examination suggests that he actually says “Stay healthy.”

The reason that the two head coaches were so notable is because Sean Payton was critical of Nathaniel Hackett, the former Broncos head coach who now serves as the Jets offensive coordinator, during the offseason.

Payton’s comments prompted a response from Jets signal-caller Aaron Rodgers, who was clearly one of many Jets to take his words personally, as evidenced by this fiery pregame speech from tight end CJ Uzomah.

“Their coach made this s— personal,” Uzomah said. “Well f— him and f— them! This ain’t about them, it’s about us getting back on the right track. Let’s win this b—- for Hackett!”

On ESPN’s Get Up! on Monday morning, former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan praised Saleh for taking the high road in regards to his treatment of Payton, as Ryan said he personally would’ve been far more boisterous.

The Jets ultimately beat the Broncos, who were favored in the matchup by 2.5 points, by a score of 31-21, which is the most points that they’ve scored in a game so far this season. The Broncos also allowed the Jets to score points in the first quarter for the first time this season.

Now sitting at 2-3, the Jets are in the thick of the AFC playoff race with the Dolphins, Bills, Chiefs, Chargers, Steelers, Ravens, Broncos, Bengals, Jaguars, Colts, Texans, and Titans, who all have at least two wins.

Next week, the Jets will be back at home for a game against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles before facing off against the New York Giants the following week.
