Folks, Rory McIlroy from the top rope, the man just roasted Matt Kuchar.

So, in case you missed it earlier this season, Kuchar won the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico. Kuchar’s regular caddie, John Wood, wasn’t on the bag that week, instead, David Ortiz also known as El Tucan carried his sticks.

Kuchar received a $1.296 million check for what was his first win in four years and decided to pay El Tucan just $5,000. The normal protocol for caddies is usually 10 percent of the earnings so Kuchar stiffed Ortiz out of around $124,000.

It is worth noting that it was reported that the two agreed on just a $4,000 payday for any finish inside the Top 10, but it was a very tough look.

During a Wyndham Rewards presentation, Kuchar spoke on the fact that he finished third only two points behind McIlroy, which is a difference of $300,000. It’s a tough break to say the least, but Kuchar walked himself right into an all-time zing from McIlroy.

This clip is the best. McIlroy taking a friendly jab at Kuchar, Kuchar responding with ‘fair’ and Brooks Koepka absolutely loving every second of it. Sidenote: Koepka finished first in the standings which earned him a bonus of $2 million. Kuchar took home $1.2 million while McIlroy received $1.5 million.

Kuchar did later release a statement on the whole El Tucan situation stating that he was ‘out of touch.’

“I plan to call David tonight, something that is long overdue, to apologize for the situation he has been put in, and I have made sure he has received the full total that he has requested,” Kuchar said in the statement.

Huge props to Rory for getting that dig in on Kuchar, it’s just another reason to like the Northern Irishman. He’s one that always speaks his mind, whether it be in a setting like that or in a gut-wrenching post-round interview.
