New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has reached an agreement to plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge of breach of peace in connection with a Las Vegas nightclub beating.

As part of the agreement, Kamara will be required to perform community service and pay $100,000 to the victim, Darnell Greene, to cover his medical bills. This information was reported by Kyle Paine and David Charns of 8NewsNow.

The incident in question took place on February 5, 2022, outside a nightclub on the famous Las Vegas Strip during the NFL Pro Bowl weekend. Alongside Alvin Kamara, then Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons and two other individuals were also involved and are facing criminal charges related to the altercation.

Following the incident, Darnell Greene filed a civil lawsuit against Kamara in a Louisiana court. The lawsuit, which was initially reported by 8 News Now Investigators last month, includes a request for compensatory and punitive damages.

The legal proceedings surrounding the civil case will shed further light on the consequences Kamara may face beyond the criminal charges.

Greene stated that he was waiting outside an elevator at Drai’s Nightclub with a group of people, including the four suspects. When the elevator doors opened, Alvin Kamara allegedly placed his hand on Greene’s chest, attempting to prevent him from entering.

In response, Greene pushed Kamara’s hand away, which led Kamara to shove him. Subsequently, another suspect, identified as Chris Lammons, reportedly punched Greene, causing him to be knocked back against a nearby wall.
