Shedeur Sanders is set to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. Talks of which team will ultimately pick the passer have made media headlines this week.

Some see Sanders as a Top 3 pick behind only Cam Ward and Colorado teammate Travis Hunter. Others believe he’ll slide to the late first round, or even into Day 2.

No one truly knows where the cards will fall. The New York Giants could hold the key to the puzzle.

The G-Men hold the No. 3 pick. They could be in the market for a young signal caller after adding veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in the offseason. Will they take a swing in the first round or wait until later in the draft to target a passer?

Todd McShay recently spoke on New York’s interest in Sanders. He believes the organization is split.

McShay says the coaching staff is “anti-Shedeur,” including head coach Brian Daboll. The team did meet privately with Sanders, along with Jalen Milroe and Tyler Shough in the weeks leading up to the draft.

Should they pass, he could fall all the way to Pittsburgh at No.21 or later should the Steelers opt to trade back. The Saints at No. 9 are another potential suitor, though McShay states they are not interested in Shedeur Sanders.

The Colorado QB might already have an idea of where things stand. He teased a future landing spot in an interview with Maxx Crosby on Monday.

Shedeur Sanders to the Steelers?

The signal caller was asked to list his Mt. Rushmore of NFL duos. He mentioned Tom Brady/Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Rodgers/Davante Adams, and Chris Olave/Derek Carr before slyly putting himself on the list.

“Whoever is throwing the ball to DK Metcalf and George Pickens next year,” he said. That, of course, could be Sanders if picked by the Steelers in the NFL Draft.

That insinuation would line up with a number of reports currently circulating social media. It seems like a real possibility given Sanders’ response.

We’ll soon know the quarterback’s fate. He’ll likely hear his name called on Day 1. A marriage with Pittsburgh is gaining steam.
