Shedeur Sanders will soon take over in his new role of starting quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes. The Jackson State transfer followed his father to Boulder this offseason and is now gearing up for his first year in the PAC 12.

Sanders was a star with the Tigers, throwing for 40 touchdowns and six picks in his sophomore season as he led JSU to 12 wins. He’ll now make the transition from the FCS to the Power Five.

The passer doesn’t believe that change will be too difficult, naming just one thing that he thinks could hold him back on the field. The altitude.

While he doesn’t seem overly concerned with the boost in competition, he’s certainly not taking his offseason training lightly. We’ve already seen clip after clip of the vigorous Colorado spring practice sessions.

Shedeur Sanders is taking the next step in his preparations, though.

While the rest of his teammates were enjoying their spring break vacations, the Buffaloes signal caller was seen getting reps in while on a trip to Miami.

Sanders was spotted training with both NFL players and current teammates.

The trip was filmed by his brother, Deion “Bucky” Sanders Jr., who was also in attendance. Bucky, who’s the team’s social media manager and content creator, posted the footage to his YouTube page.

It’s now gone viral online.

The video shows Shedeur hitting the weight room before heading to the field to work on his touch. He then drops some dimes to teammates that came along for the trip, including wideout Jimmy Horn Jr.

Followers quickly responded to the “vacation,” posting their reactions in the comments section.

One person said, “This is what separates the greats. These guys didn’t change habits on SPRING BREAK, they only changed LOCATION.”

Someone else wrote, “I’m impressed that they went to Miami on spring break and worked out. I love the work ethic.”

While the trip was booked mostly for training purposes, Sanders and Co. were able to have a little fun in Miami. The end of the clip shows the group enjoying some down time on spring break.

This fan noted that, saying, “It’s great to see the guys still working but getting some R & R!! They are going to need it because the run this season is going to be memorable.”

Shedeur Sanders continues to be a leader this offseason. It will be fun to see where he can take the Buffaloes in 2023.
