Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has a simple message for fellow WNBA star Angel Reese: It’s time to move on from ex-boyfriend Jalen Duren.

Cunningham, who is never one to hold back when asked for her opinion, made the comment on the latest episode of Show Me Something podcast.

“Something had to have happened for her to want to embarrass [Duren] in some way,” she said in response to Reese’s recent Instagram post trolling Duren following a Game 4 playoff loss to the Orlando Magic and Reese’s current boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr.

Ultimately, however, it was Duren who would get the last laugh, as he and the Detroit Pistons won the final three games of the series to reach the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Cunningham’s co-host then implied that it’s possible that Duren did nothing to Reese to draw her ire. In which case, Cunningham said that it’s time for Reese to move on with her life.

“Valid. But then move on,” Cunningham said. “Worry about the current boyfriend.”

The beef between the two stars is nothing new. Cunningham was outspoken about Reese throwing her former Chicago Sky teammates under the bus late in the 2025 season.

“That’s not great,” Cunningham said on her podcast. “And I get it. When you’re losing, and it has been a frustrating season, everyone is feeling those emotions. And when I say everyone, it’s not just her… literally everyone feels that. There’s just some things that you can’t say.”

The Sky eventually traded Reese to the Atlanta Dream over the offseason.

Whether Reese responds on her own podcast, Unapologetically Angel, remains to be seen. But it’s clear that she and Cunningham have no love lost for one another, and things should be interesting when they take the court against one another on June 4.
