Three-time NBA champion and two-time MVP, Steph Curry played in his second career Web.com event this past weekend at the Ellie Mae Classic in Northern California.

Last year, Curry impressed everyone when he shot rounds of 74-74 at the same event. Sadly, he didn’t do as well this year.

He actually did better in his first round this year at TPC Stonebrae, shooting a very impressive 71. Unfortunately, he shot a 16-over 86 on Friday to finish dead frickin’ among the 154 competitors. And it wasn’t even close. Curry was 33 strokes behind leader Alex Prugh and missed the cut by 13 strokes. (Last year he missed the cut by 11 strokes.)

“I couldn’t hit a driver to save my life today, so that’s how golf goes,” explained Curry, who said “the wheels fell off on the third hole” of his second round.

On the plus side for Curry, who played as an amatuer, he did have some pretty dope Callaway clubs in his bag.
