Tacko Fall’s Official NBA Combine Measurements Are Almost Too Absurd To Be Believed

I’m 6′ 10″, which—if the countless strangers who have approached me over the years to let me know how tall I am are to be believed—is like really, really tall.

A sizeable chunk of the people who come up to me assume I play basketball based solely on my height and I can’t count how many of them have been irrationally disappointed to learn that I decided to listen to my body after it decided to keep getting injured whenever I walked onto the court.

However, when you’re a tall dude, you’re practically expected to play the sport (and you can be damn sure I’m making my kids start doing Mikan Drills on a Fisher-Price hoop as soon as they can walk).

Fellow giant Tacko Fall learned this firsthand a few years back when he was strongly encouraged to stop playing soccer in favor of basketball and it’s safe to say it’s worked out pretty well. After moving to the United States to train with Hakeem Olajuwon as a teenager, the Senegalese native eventually earned a scholarship to UCF, where he recently finished up his college career.

It’s unclear what the future has in store for Fall, who had a respectable but by no means dominating career during his time with the Knights. However, he apparently has enough potential to warrant an invite to the NBA Combine, where he recently showed off his skills and some insane measurements that are almost too absurd to believe.

Sure, Fall might be able to grab the rim without leaving the ground but that might not be enough to make up for his lack of physicality and conditioning (not to mention his absolutely abysmal free throw percentage).

With that said, you can teach tall people but you can’t teach height so who knows what the future holds.
