Cleveland Guardians manager Terry Francona had his scooter stolen once again this week, a second time in as many years. This was by far the most disgusting instance.

The thief reportedly defecated on the beloved vehicle, adding insult to injury.

This was supposed to be a week of remembrance and joy as he comes one step closer to retirement. The legendary manager will hang up the uniform for good when the MLB season comes to an end.

Heading into Wednesday, the Guardians hold a 74-84 overall record. This coming after an appearance in the ALDS last season.

Someone might not be happy with the job Francona’s done this year and they let it be known. According to Zack Meisel of The Athletic, the culprit not only stole the scooter but proceeded to both strip it of parts and relieve themself on it, too.

“Terry Francona’s scooter was stolen again. And it was beaten up pretty badly,” Meisel posted. “And, well… ‘The worst part was they defecated on it.'”

This is the second time this calendar year that the moped has been swiped, with someone also taking it in January. It was found and returned to the rightful owner in that case, without incident (or excrement).

MLB fans and followers have been quick to respond to the most recent instance on social media. They want justice and a new ride for the manager.

“Stop stealing Tito’s scooter!!”

“Who does this?”

“Guardians need to get out and buy him a new scooter like right now.”

Others made jokes about the city of Cleveland.

“Browns fan makes sense.”

“Have some respect, Cleveland.”

“They call that a Cleveland Steamer.”

A horrible sendoff for an MLB great. He will coach his final home game for the Guardians tonight when the team takes on the Cincinnati Reds.
