Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been fighting to keep a sexual assault lawsuit out of the courts since it was filed in 2020.

The case was dismissed in 2022, however, after an appeal it was allowed to continue.

Jones, of course, appealed again, trying to get it thrown out, but the Supreme Court of Texas ruled this week that the lawsuit is good to go and the case will now be heard by a jury.

The woman who filed that lawsuit claims Jerry Jones “kissed her on the mouth and forcibly grabbed her without her consent” on Sept. 16, 2018 in front of several Cowboys players while in the Tom Landry Room at AT&T Stadium.

Previously filed court papers state that the woman believes some of the people in the room included former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, Ezekiel Elliott, Tyrone Crawford, and Tyron Smith.

DeMarcus Lawrence and Eugenia Jones, Jerry Jones’ wife, were also listed as “witnesses.”

The woman suing Jones says the incident caused her “severe emotional distress” and “psychological pain and suffering,” as well as “severe injuries.”

“He’s going to be held accountable,” her attorney Thomas Daniel Bowers told the Dallas Morning News. “There’s no more dodging or delaying. It’s time for justice.”

She is reportedly seeking over one million dollars in damages.

Jones has denied the allegations, calling them “malicious and hurtful.”

The Dallas Cowboys owner is also embroiled in another lawsuit filed by a woman named Alexandra Davis who claims that he is her father.

She filed a paternity suit against Jones in 2022 after, according to Jerry Jones’ former lawyer Don Jack, Jones paid the woman nearly $3 million in “child support” payments during her lifetime.

Jack also claimed that Davis requested $20 million from Jones to keep quiet about the relationship.

Jones reportedly claimed that he is being extorted, but Davis claims it’s not about the money. She just wants to prove that Jerry Jones is her father.

“I would challenge Jerry Jones to put up any evidence that anyone demanded any money, period,” said her lawyer Andrew A. Bergman. “It’s a shame that Jerry Jones wants to further damage his own daughter by now claiming she is extorting him. I challenge them to put up any evidence that supports either one of these defamatory and false claims.”
