The UFC’s White House event could face some weather issues.
Ahead of the event, UFC CEO Dana White says he’s been working with the military to forecast the weather.
“We’re working with the military.” White told Fox News’ Lara Trump. “So the military knows the weather ten days out, and they’ll notify us every two hours, ten days out. Seven days out, they’ll notify us every hour.”
One week out from the event, AccuWeather reports a 65 percent chance of rain and a 39 percent chance of thunderstorms during the event.

The Weather Channel’s Jennifer Gray told the USA Today that she also believes there’s a high probability that it rains on Sunday during the event.

“It’s like a flip of a coin at this point. Or maybe 40 (percent),’’ Gray told USA TODAY Sports on Sunday, June 7. “I’m looking at my maps right now. Starting around Wednesday into Thursday, we really keep storms in place across the East every single day through at least Saturday night. And I don’t see anything that would really stop that from happening on Sunday.’’
Rain would put a damper on the night, but White has already said that the only thing that would stop the event is lightning.
“And we’ve gone over this, you know. If it rains, we’re going. If it snows, we’re going. The only thing that will stop us is lightning.”
It is worth noting that forecasts a week out are subject to change.
UFC fighters fighting at the event are training for the possibility of rain.
💦👊 Sean O’Malley trains on wet mats to be ready for everything on the White House card:
“It’s gonna be humid there, you can’t mimic that. If it’ll rain, that would kinda suck.
