Tom Brady was not retired for very long during the 2021 offseason.

After rumors began to circle that Brady was set to retire, he said that he had not made a decision yet. Not long thereafter, he officially announced his retirement.

And then, after just a few weeks, Brady announced that he was returning to the gridiron for 2022.

However, according to reports, there was a significant plan in place for the Miami Dolphins to try and acquire Brady at quarterback and one notable name as head coach. Brian Flores’ lawsuit put a wrench in those plans and Brady is back with Tampa Bay.

On Thursday afternoon, a report surfaced about a new plan for Miami to acquire the greatest quarterback of all-time. The Dolphins were reportedly working on a trade for Brady.

Not long after the idea of TB12 playing home games at Hard Rock Stadium came to light, the switch was immediately turned off. The Athletic’s Jeff Howe shut down any thought of Brady playing for the Dolphins. He says that there is nothing going on between the two parties.

This is right now. Could things change in coming weeks? Sure. Does it seem likely that Brady will be coached by Mike McDaniel this season? No.

With that being said, this is something interesting to consider for next year. Should Brady want to continue playing, once the Brian Flores lawsuit plays out, there is a real possibility that Miami, Brady and his camp could look into making something happen.
