Two Dudes Weaseled Their Way Into UFC 205 By Cleverly Replicating Fox Sports Media Credentials

I still don’t understand how this happens. At some layer of security, a scanned barcode is required, no? That’s been the case for literally every professional sporting event I’ve been to. But we’ve seen a couple of dudes snake their way into Conor McGregor/Nate Diaz UFC 202 back in August, and a dude weasel his way into Game 7 of the NBA finals in June, and now two joe shmos con their way into UFC’s biggest event.

With the median ticket price for UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden hovering around $1,000, two guys were able to get in fo free by making fake media credentials. The accomplished this by taking a photo of the real Fox Sports affiliation media passes with an ultra-zoom camera, and thus were able to successfully replicate those credentials. From the Snapchat story below, it appears the two had unprecedented access, even sitting second row in the post-fight press conference.

I can’t tell if I hate these guys or respect the hell out of them. Maybe both, I don’t think the two have to be mutually exclusive.
