There was huge news in the NFL today with one of the league’s superstars being dealt from a Super Bowl contender.

Kansas City sent WR Tyreek Hill to Miami, leaving Patrick Mahomes without his top pass catcher from the 2021 campaign. The move definitely stings for Chiefs fans, but it’s a welcomed surprise for the Dolphins.

For Miami, they may very well have the fastest offense in the NFL following the addition of Hill. The wide receiving corps got a huge boost, with Tua Tagovailoa adding another lethal weapon to the passing attack.

With the news of the trade going public, fans and media have been quick to react. The four-year, $120 million extension makes Hill the highest paid wideout in the game.

While many around the NFL were voicing their opinions of the blockbuster trade, we hadn’t yet heard from Hill, himself.

That is until Wednesday evening.

Hill posted a letter on Twitter, publicly breaking his social media silence. He thanks the Chiefs for his time in Kansas City while also showing his excitement for what’s to come with Miami.

“End of an era!!! Miami I’m coming home”

Hill speaks on his time with the Chiefs, giving thanks to his teammates, coaches, and the organization as a whole. He also notes the support received through his family foundation, which helps give back to the community.

Finally, he thanks the fans by saying, “Your energy, passion, and loyalty for the team is indescribable. It was an honor to play in front of you.”

Hill closes with, “Cheetah out!”

Next up, a trip to the Sunshine State. Hill should be a key piece to the Dolphins’ roster as they look to make up ground in the AFC East.
