No. 1-ranked Whittaker looks to reclaim the middleweight championship after losing by knockout in the second round of UFC 243. On the other side of the Octagon, reigning division champion Israel Adesanya looks to continue his undefeated streak at Middleweight with this 4th title defense.
The matchup between Adesanya and Whittaker is just one of the several important storylines that will pan out at UFC 271. The co-main event features a face-off between fan-favorite heavyweights, Derrick Lewis and Tai Tuivasa. Depending on how things go, there could be quite the interesting, or rather disgusting, shoey after the fight.
