The Utah Crimson Collective continues to make waves in the NIL market. After gifting football players new trucks over the offseason, the group is spreading the love to others in the athletic department.

Utah basketball players and gymnasts received their choice of either Jeep Grand Cherokees or Dodge Rams in another massive NIL deal.

As part of the deal, members of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as a decorated gymnastics program were given leases to their choice of the two luxury automobiles.

They’ll now ride around campus in style whipping those 2024 models.

It expands upon what we saw with the Utes football team as all 85 scholarship members were handed the keys to new Dodge Rams, which retailed around $60,000 a pop.

If the terms are the same, each player will land a six-month lease. Leases will only be voided if a player’s eligibility expires, or they decide to transfer.

It was reported to be the richest NIL deal on record, at a value over $5 million.

After seeing that deal go viral, a number of former players commented on the post. For example, Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid hilariously asked, “Do I still have eligibility?”

A few current student athletes also responded to the news. Where was their new ride?!

One was Utah basketball’s starting center Branden Carlson.

“Got bad news,” he joked on social media upon seeing the football team’s new rides. “I need a total engine replacement in my Hyundai. So, I’m in the market for a new car… or truck…”

That request was answered on Wednesday in a big way!

With car troubles now in the rearview, the teams can focus on their play on the floor.

The gymnastics team is looking to land a national championship after finishing runner-up four times since 2006. They finished ranked third in the 2023 season.

As for the basketball teams, the women are currently 8-2 and looking to make another trip to the NCAA Tournament after last year’s Sweet 16 run.

The men, meanwhile, are off to a 7-2 start.
