Five-time Pro Bowler, two-time Super Bowl champ and future Hall of Famer Vince Wilfork has had quite the time since retirement.
Wilfork retired in 2016.
Since then, Wilfork’s son D’Aundre has twice been arrested. He was first hauled in back in 2016 for possessing an ungodly amount of codeine. He was then arrested in 2021 for allegedly stealing $300,000 worth of his father’s jewelery, including Super Bowl Rings.
But despite the family issues, Wilfork seems to be living his best life in retirement. He’s since turned to barbecue, trading “cleats for smoked meats” as he said in a retirement announcement years back.
Wilfork has also made plenty of media appearances, including one where he called out Patriots QB Mac Jones. But his most recent interview, with sports media star Dan Le Batard, is sure to make you cringe.
Vince Wilfork Reveals Divorce After Dan Le Batard Asks About His Ex-Wife
Wilfork joined the “Dan Le Batard and Friends” show on Thursday. Le Batard, always the character, began the show by asking Wilfork about his love life, noting that the big man has never been shy about showing his love.
“You are very comfortable talking about how you met your wife, how much you love her, how important she is to you,” he said. “That’s the reason I asked the question; I’ve always admired that about you. You have no problems whatsoever professing your love.”
What came next, however, was brutal to watch.
After being asked about his marriage, Wilfork revealed that he and his wife Bianca had divorced and that he’s since been remarried.
“Well, the thing is,” said Wilfork, “I got a new wife now. Me and Bianca didn’t make it.”
Wilfork actually handled the situation incredibly and talked about how and his ex-wife are still friends. He then talked about how happy he is in his new marriage and how he’s since grown and evolved as a person.
It was an unbelievably difficult to watch exchange, but Wilfork once again showed that he’s all class.
