The wife of legendary Buffalo Bills head coach Marv Levy didn’t hold back when talking recently about how much she dislikes Bill Belichick.

In a conversation with the Boston Globe to discuss what it is like for a Hall of Fame coach to be on the hot seat, Fran Levy made it very clear how she feels about The Hoodie.

“I think he should retire. I can’t stand him. He’s a cheater and he was rude to Marv,” she was overhead saying in the background of Levy’s phone interview with the Globe.

“Bill Belichick was always jealous of Marv. He’s a mean person and I hope he never wins again,” she added.

“Don’t quote me on that. I’m not saying that. I’m going to have Fran run some extra wind sprints for saying that!” Marv jumped in.

“I’ll fight for my husband,” Fran continued. “I hope I wasn’t too crazy, but that’s how I feel. I wear my heart on my sleeve.”

Marv Levy was 72-years-old when he retired from coaching the Bills after taking the team to four Super Bowls.

Bill Belichick is 71-years-old.

He also said in 2009, “I won’t be like Marv Levy and coach in my 70s.”

The New England Patriots head coach did, however, admit last year, “I wish I hadn’t said that. That was not one of my better statements.”

Levy, when discussing the way he coached when he was nearing the end of his career, said, “If you don’t change with the times, the times are going to change you. There were a considerable number of changes being made in the game. I was aware of them, but I bet our offensive playbook was 25 percent the size of the other teams’. I believed repetition was more important than saying, ‘Oh, look at what I invented. I’m a genius.'”

He also doesn’t think Bill Belichick would retire. At least not yet.

Bill Belichick might not have a choice in the matter though.

On Saturday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported, “In talking to those who have spent time around the Patriots organization and understand the dynamics between team owner Robert Kraft and Belichick, I don’t expect anything to be determined with so much season remaining. But if people I talk to had to bet, their money is on a mutual parting of the ways at the end of the season.”
