Even though the Titans could not pull out a win over the Steelers on Thursday night, Will Levis did everything in his power to come away with the dub. The rookie quarterback completed 22-of-39 passes for 262 yards with one interception in a stick spot on the final drive of the game.

His offensive line failed him for most of the evening. His receivers could not get open.

Wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Kyle Phillips, and running back Tyjae Spears led Tennessee with just four catches each. There was not much success through the air.

Despite the offensive ineptitude during most of the evening, the Titans lost by just four points. It would be hard not to put Levis back out on the field as the starter for the foreseeable future.

Especially considering his psyche!

Levis was not fazed by a raucous crowd in Pittsburgh. The Steelers fans were loud, but not loud enough.

In fact, Will Levis went so far as to say that he enjoyed the road environment.

You’ve got to enjoy environments like this. This is football, you’ve got to have fun with it. If you’re not having fun with it, why are you playing?

Part of what makes Steel City so intimidating is its playing of ‘Renegade’ by Styx before key defensive drives during the fourth quarter. Levis loved it.

That’s a cool tradition that they got here. The son’s a banger. It’s a good song. It’s a good song.

We’ve been playing it all week in practice, and it’s been stuck in my head, so it was cool to see the real thing.

Although Levis was largely respectful of the Pittsburgh experience, he also subtly dissed Steelers fans. They were loud, but having played in the Big Ten and SEC, they were nothing special to him.

It was pretty loud. I’ve been in louder, so it was nothing crazy. I think we did a good job of simulating the environment during practice this week of making it even louder than I feel like it was out there.

We were good on the operation and the communication, but hey, those fans showed out and they didn’t make it easy for us, but we got the job done for the most part operation-wise.

Pow pow! Slight shots fired.

Levis loved everything about the first road start of his NFL career, outside of the result. Expect his next trip to Acrisure Stadium Heinz Field to be even more hostile and not quite as friendly.

Steelers fans won’t forget! They are going to make as loud as possible during the next game with Levis involved. He threw subtle shade at their ability to create an intimidating home environment, which surely will not go over well amongst the terrible towel-waving fanatics!
