Not every NFL fan had to deal with buffering issues over the weekend, but a large number of people who subscribe to YouTubeTV for ‘Sunday Ticket’ were left to watch a spinning circle. As a result, those viewers proceeded to melt down online.

The issue started to take place about midway through the first quarter of the early slate. Broadcasts got underway without issue. Some of them quickly started to struggle.

Continuous buffering made the broadcast unwatchable. And when the broadcast played as it was supposed to, the announcers were not in sync with the plays happening on the screen.

Not everybody was effected. There were viewers fortunate enough to watch without constant stoppages.

Others did not have the same luck and proceeded to express their frustrations on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Sunday Ticket viewers were furious.

“How much of a refund are we getting for this awful product today?” asked @SDakotaEagle.

“This is not what I purchased,” proclaimed @Corey1911.

“Another reminder that YouTube TV ruined NFL Sunday Ticket. Streaming live games is simply too unreliable to be our only options,” said @JohnSparaco.

“I payed entirely too much money for this NFL Sunday Ticket for my whole YouTube app on my TV stopped. When it works it has been awesome. But this is the second time in eight weeks I’ve had this happen. Tighten Up…” declared @cirdec_187.

“$300+ dollars on Sunday ticket and it just doesn’t even work. I should get refunded for this week you bums @YouTube,” stated @jawn_wick.

“YouTube TV should lose the contract,” exclaimed @colemantroll.

“Thanks YouTube TV for letting me miss a Saints touchdown. FIX YOUR NFL SUNDAY TICKET!” proclaimed @ktweisman.

“YouTube gaining the rights to Sunday Ticket has to be the worst thing ever for football fans,” added @KaiAravenaNFL.

“I’m really getting tired of this…” said @BS_Slayer_.

“Parents are here. My dad: ‘How much do you pay for this YouTube Sunday Ticket?’ I had no response. I don’t want him to know how bad I’m getting ripped off,” shared @BrunoPittsburgh.

YouTube also issued a statement:

If you’re experiencing buffering issues on YouTube our team is aware and working on a fix. YouTube TV or NFL Sunday Ticket may also be impacted. we’ll follow-up here once this has been resolved.

Unfortunately, NFL fans don’t have another option. YouTube TV is the only way to stream NFL Sunday Ticket. It will be interesting to see if YouTube gives its subscribers some money back for this week.
