5 Nostradamus Predictions For 2023, And What He Got Right In 2022

In his 1555 book Les Prophéties, French prophet Michel de Nostradame, best known as Nostradamus, predicted numerous important moments and events in history that have come true. Among those are the rise of Hitler, the assassination of JFK and the 9/11 attacks.

Here’s some of what he sees coming for us in 2023.

In one disturbing prediction, Nostradamus says cannibalism will occur as a result of a failing economy, reports The Daily Star.

“No abbots, monks, no novices to learn; honey shall cost far more than candle-wax. So high the price of wheat, that man is stirred his fellow man to eat in his despair,” the Mirror translates the passage and explains that, hopefully, the reference to cannibalism is metaphorical and not literal.

Nostradamus also mentions “the voice of the rare bird will be heard,” but it’s unclear what he means by that. Any ideas?

Another interesting prediction for 2023, considering current events, sees a “celestial fire when the lights of Mars will go out.”

With the Supreme Ruler of Mars Elon Musk currently embroiled in trying to figure out how Twitter works, perhaps his eye will be taken off the ball in his plan to colonize Mars by the year 2026 and something will go wrong?

Although that shouldn’t come as much surprise since even he already predicted that for the first settlers on Mars: “Good chance you’ll die.”

Nostradamus also predicts there will be a “seven months great war, people dead through evil,” which some speculate could be a reference to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

“The dry earth will grow more parched, and there will be great floods when the rainbow is seen,” is something else he foresees happening in 2023. Is he referring to climate change?

In another 2023 prediction, Nostradamus writes, “Sooner or later you will see great changes made – dreadful horrors and vengeances.”

Along with that he wrote about “trumpets shaking with great discord” and “an agreement broken.”

Specifics are pretty sketchy with that one, but The Daily Star wonders if it will have anything to do with the recent rioting in Iran.

Predictions Nostradamus got correct in 2022

“Like the sun the head shall sear the shining sea: The Black Sea’s living fish shall all but boil,” he wrote. “When Rhodes and Genoa half-starved shall be, the local folk to cut them up shall toil.”

With global warming, numerous countries around the world experienced record-breaking droughts as well as record-breaking high temperatures. Not hard to predict now, but he said it would happen nearly 500 years ago.

Nostradamus also predicted the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

According to the Mirror, “In a book published in 2006, Mario Reading said his reading of one quatrain was that it predicted ‘Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 2022, at the age of around 96.'”

He also predicted rising inflation in the world economy in 2022.

Again, it takes little stretching of the imagination to see that being possible, but who could have predicted such a thing nearly five centuries in advance? Nostradamus, apparently.

Nostradamus also wrote about 2022, “The copies of gold and silver inflated, which after the theft were thrown into the lake. At the discovery that all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt, all scripts and bonds will be wiped out.”

Crypto, bro. Nostradamus knew about crypto.
