Brands are really starting to realize that keto is not just a fad diet and that millions of people subscribe to this lifestyle. In early January, Chipotle rolled out their menu of “Lifestyle Bowls” that are designed for keto, paleo, and Whole30 diets. Now Chick-fil-A rolled out their special menu made for the ketogenic diet.

Chick-fil-A wants you to know that you can get your keto on the go. The fried chicken experts revealed their new keto-friendly menu that has you covered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The keto diet is a low-carb, high-fat meal plan that forces the body to burn fats instead of carbohydrates. That means high-carb foods such as bread and starchy potatoes are not allowed, either are sugary foods. So that means you should probably stay away from sandwiches, French fries, and most of the sweet dipping sauces at Chick-fil-A.

For breakfast, Chick-fil-A recommends that you order a breakfast sandwich with egg whites, sausage, bacon or grilled chicken. Then you don’t eat the biscuit or English muffin on your sandwich to avoid the carbs, which is easier said than done.

For lunch or dinner, Chick-fil-A suggest you order a bunless Grilled Chicken Sandwich that has 3 grams of net carbs. The Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich without bun also has 3 grams of net carbohydrates.

A great keto food is an 8-piece of Grilled Nuggets, which have only 2 grams of net carbs and plenty of protein. But you need to stay away from the overly sugary dipping sauces such as Polynesian Sauce or BBQ sauce. Chick-fil-A recommends Garlic & Herb Ranch Sauce since it has 1g net carb or Zesty Buffalo Sauces has 0g net carbs.

The Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken has 10 grams of net carbs. You should pair that with Creamy Salsa Dressing that has 2g net carbs, Light Italian Dressing with 3g net carbs, and Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing that has 2g net carbs.

Noticeably missing is anything fried or the crispy waffle fries, which is kind of the reason you’re going to Chick-fil-A in the first place. But if you want to stay on the keto diet, that means “eat mor grilled chikin.” Good luck following your keto diet when visiting Chick-fil-A and trying to leave without a spicy fried chicken sandwich, nuggets, and waffle fries.
