A creepy clown has been stalking the streets of the village of Skelmorlie in North Ayrshire, Scotland.

The clown, who has shared a message with the media, is even daring the cops to catch him.

So, do we have the beginnings of a new creepy clown epidemic on our hands like we did back in 2016?

Jenness Mitchell of Sky News reports, “In response to news reports that they had left locals ‘terrified,’clown the clown uploaded a ‘message to the media’ during the early hours of Thursday morning.”

“Well, well, well, I’ve made the news again,” he says in a video.

“Should I smile for the cameras with my ‘hideous’ grin?”

Check it out…

That’s right. He has a Facebook page.

“Do you think that I care? They’d have to catch me first anyway – and yes, that’s a dare,” he continued in the video.

“They called me ‘killer clown.’ Why don’t you leave the jokes to me. The only thing that’s dying is your credibility.”

Police Scotland is reportedly aware of the taunts of the clown who reportedly first appeared in the village in 2021.

“This clown doesn’t want fame, glory or gold,” he added.

“He just wants to play in this so-called ‘sleepy town.’ So, come and join in and learn to fear the Skelmorlie clown.”

Not everyone is terrified though.

In fact, several commenters on the his Facebook post expressed the desire to run into him sometime.

“Love it! Never stop!” one person wrote. “We’re at Meigle and have always hoped to see u out. We were out the other night in skelmorlie hoping to bump into u.”

“Brilliant!! Love it every year! Please don’t stop!!” another wrote.

“Out of all the clowns in this village he’s the best,” someone else joked.

Let’s just hope, for his sake, that he doesn’t meet the same fate that several of the clowns of the epidemic of 2016 did.
