Dave Chappelle Fires Shots At Katt Williams For Only Calling Out Black Comedians

The fallout from Katt Williams’ explosive interview on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast continues as fellow comedian Dave Chappelle recently weighed in on Williams’ comments.

Chappelle took issue with the fact that Williams, as he put it, was only dissing Black comedians and not White ones, even though one of the most viral quotes from Katt’s interview was about Joe Rogan and the rotating cast of comedians that he has on his podcast.

“What part of the game is this? He ethered n—–. He didn’t say anything about any of these white boys. None of these white boys function like that,” Chappelle said during one of his recent shows, via Deadline.

“Katt is one of the best painters in the game. So why are you drawing ugly pictures of us? Stop. Hurt people hurt people, but I am a hurt person that never hurt people, and he does it all the time.”

Chappelle’s comments about “never hurting people” are certainly interesting, too, considering the fact that he’s spent recent years specifically targeting the LGBTQ community during his stand-up sets despite their pleas that his jokes about them are offensive and dangerous.

The legendary stand-up continued to rant about Williams, pointing out that he was only critical of others and not himself.

“F— this one, and f— that one, and f— this one, but, n—-, I didn’t hear anything that you did wrong,” Chappelle said.

“He didn’t do nothin’ wrong? Katt didn’t do nothin’ wrong? Katt was talking about s— that n—– did to other n—–, but not about anything that n—– did to him.”

Williams’ appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast garnered so many headlines that it was even parodied on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.

Chappelle’s latest stand-up special The Dreamer hit Netflix on December 31 and currently has a 20% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the worst-reviewed special of his career so far.
