Back in the day, the Victoria’s Secret Angels were a juggernaut. The models that received that honor went on to become some of the biggest names in the industry.
Tyra Banks, Helena Christensen, Izabel Goulart, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Chanel Iman, Miranda Kerr, Heidi Klum, Marisa Miller and Stephanie Seymour were just some of the ladies who were blowing up the internet in the 1990s until the Angels brand’s demise in June of 2021.
Also, who could ever forget Behati Prinsloo, Barbara Palvin, Martha Hunt, Lais Ribeiro, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver, Jasmine Tookes, Selita Ebanks, Lindsay Ellingson, Erin Heatherton, Lily Aldridge, Doutzen Kroes and Elsa Hosk?
Three of the biggest names during the Victoria’s Secret Angels’ epic run were Gisele Bundchen, Candice Swanepoel and Adriana Lima.
And while Naomi Campbell was never officially an Angel, she was one of the biggest names to model for the brand.
So it was much to everyone’s surprise this week when, after several years away, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel and Naomi Campbell re-appeared in a new campaign for Victoria’s Secret.
In the new campaign for what the company is calling the Icon Collection, the four modeling legends are joined by some other familiar names including Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, Paloma Elsesser, Sui He and Adut Akech.
Several of the models from this campaign will also appear on the Victoria’s Secret World Tour on Amazon Prime on September 26th.
Other models to earn the prestigious title Angels moniker from Victoria’s Secret back in its heyday that you may remember were Leomie Anderson, Laetitia Casta, Grace Elizabeth, Alexina Graham, Kate Grigorieva, Taylor Hill, Jac Jagaciak, Karlie Kloss, Karolína Kurkova, Karen Mulder, Chandra North, Daniela Pestova, Ines Rivero, and Romee Strijd.
