Chance The Rapper Proclaims That He Is A Top-4 Rapper Of All-Time

Chance the Rapper says he belongs on the greatest 50 rappers of all-time and is a top-4 rapper ever.

A few weeks ago, a preposterous 50 greatest rappers of all-time list went viral for all the wrong reasons then last week Snoop Dogg named his top 5 rappers ever and put himself in the legendary company of hip-hop royalty. Now Chance the Rapper weighs in on the best rappers of all-time and he has prociamed that he is elite.

Chance the Rapper appeared on New York City hip-hop radio station Hot 97 to promote his new album The Big Day, which he calls a “perfect album.” Then the subject of greatest rappers of all-time lists was brought up by Ebro Darden, host of Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning.

“Let’s talk rappers, these top 50 lists went around people were pissed, people loved, people hated, people disagreed, that’s what its all about,” Ebro said at the 5:16-mark of the interview. “Did you put me on your list? I know you put out a list,” Chance asked.

“Nah you didn’t make top 50 yet,” Ebro replied. Then Chance answered back, “You didn’t put me on your top 50 list?! N***a what? Top 50? I’m not top 50?”

Ebro released his top 50 rappers of all-time list earlier this month, but admitted that the rankings were flawed because he left off Q-Tip from the iconic rap group A Tribe Called Quest and early rap pioneer Kool G Rap.

Chance then declared that not only is he in the top 50, but he’s at least a top-four rapper of all-time, “N***a, I’m top five. And I’m definitely not five.” It’s good to have self-confidence, but Chance saying he is one of the four best rappers ever is outlandish. Did Chance bump his head?

“Just know I looked at your list and I was like, ‘Man, all these people are hating on it I’m sure he has me on it why would they hate?’ I didn’t know that you didn’t put me on there and there’s why everybody was hating on it,” Chance the Rapper said of Ebro’s top-50 list.
