Inde Navarrette has yet to sign on to a new film following the success of 'Obsession'
Thanks to her starring role in the historic horror hit Obsession — which looks set to gross over $500 million at the box office against just a $750K budget — Inde Navarrette is one of the biggest breakout stars in Hollywood this year. The 25-year-old actress looks set to parlay that explosion in popularity into true stardom.
According to a recent profile interview published in Variety, Inde Navarrette “is circling several leading roles in franchises,” which comes on the back of reports that she’s met with Thunderbolts and X-Men director Jake Schreier.

Navarrette also explicitly expressed interest in portraying the iconic X-Men anti-hero Mystique, previously played by Rebecca Romijn and Jennifer Lawrence.
She also reportedly met with acclaimed filmmaker Michael Mann about a potential role in Heat 2, which is set to begin filming later this year with Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale in its lead roles.
“I mean, Mystique has always been super cool,” she said.
Last week, it was officially reported that Samara Weaving had been cast as Emma Frost, while Sadie Sink also made her MCU debut as Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Recent reports suggest that Marvel Studios is looking to finalize its X-Men cast so it can make an official announcement at D23 later this month.
Navarrette has yet to officially sign onto any projects following the breakout success of Succession. She is expected to be a contender at next year’s Academy Awards, however, with reports indicating that Focus Features, the studio behind Obsession, is set to campaign her in the Best Actress category as she seeks to become the first lead in a horror film to win Best Actress since Kathy Bates pulled it off for her work in Misery back in 1990.
