Internet detectives think they may have found the “special salad dressing” that Olivia Wilde made for Harry Styles that caused Jason Sudeikis to flip his lid.
If you read that sentence and have no idea what the heck it refers to, lettuce catch you up. (Sorry.)
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde’s former nanny did an interview this week in which she told several stories about the former couple’s crazy breakup.
Perhaps the wildest story of those told by the former nanny, who claims she was fired by a “drunk and out of control” Sudeikis, involved the Ted Lasso star allegedly throwing himself in front of Olivia Wilde’s car to stop her from going to see her new boyfriend Harry Styles.
On November 13, Wilde – who was briefly staying at the family house while Sudeikis was away – went to a party with Styles in Silver Lake before getting home at 4am.
Two days later, Wilde infuriated Sudeikis by preparing a salad for Styles with her ‘special dressing’ in the family kitchen – leaving him ranting furiously at her and filming the encounter, before he tried to prevent her leaving by lying under the car.
The nanny explained: ‘The night she left with her salad, Jason had chased after her, videotaping her in the house.
‘She was saying: ‘I’m scared of you, Jason, I’m scared of you’. And he said: ‘If you’re scared of me, why are you leaving your kids with me’?’
‘So then, Jason went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave. She got in her car to back up, he lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave.
‘She went back into the house and he went in, it was back and forth. He said he was doing it on purpose to make her late going to see Harry.’
The nanny added: ‘Jason told me: ‘She made this salad and she made her special dressing and she’s leaving with her salad to have dinner with [Harry].’
‘I said, what salad dressing? He said: ‘She has a special salad dressing she makes for us and she’s taken it to have it with him now’. I don’t know what was in it.
‘Out of everything, he was like, ‘she made her special salad dressing and took it to him.”
That must have been some seriously tasty salad dressing.
Did internet detectives find the “special salad dressing” that caused Jason Sudeikis to lose it?
Now, if it’s the same salad dressing that the internet sleuths over at Page Six have discovered, it’s not really all that “special.”
What, pray tell, could have been so magical about this dressing that it would prompt Sudeikis to allegedly throw his life down onto concrete and risk a painful death — or at the least, paralysis?
If this recipe given to the Food Network by Wilde is, in fact, THE recipe, Sudeikis needs to rethink his entire life (or his dressings).
The dressing can be found in Wilde’s roasted salmon salad with zucchini and potatoes and consists of red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, garlic and olive oil.
Surely that can’t be the same salad dressing that caused Jason Sudeikis to risk it all, can it? It’s so basic.
Of course, Wilde and Sudeikis claim the nanny is lying about all the things she’s claiming.
Which makes total sense, because if he really did throw himself in front of Wilde’s car over that most basic of salad dressing there is NO WAY he’d want anyone to know about it.
