Last week, it was confirmed that The Mandalorian was adding an iconic Star Wars character to its roster, as it was reported that Rosario Dawson had been cast to play Ahsoka Tano (of The Clone Wars fame) in the upcoming season of the hit Disney+ series.
Now, according to recent rumors, Dawson isn’t the only A-list actress joining the cast of The Mandalorian for season two, as a report from Making Star Wars indicates that iconic “scream queen” Jamie Lee Curtis has also joined the cast. At this time, it’s unclear exactly who Curtis is playing.
For a few days during the filming of Star Wars: The Mandalorian’s second season I had Jamie Lee Curtis at the location for the filming of the show. If I’m wrong, I’m guessing she’s involved in Avatar 2 as it is in the same general location as well. One day around the set and I can see Curtis having been there for a set visit. But there were multiple times she was around and I think she has a role in the series. I reached out to sources for confirmation and at the moment, and I can’t get total confirmation of it because of the current climate of the world if you know what I mean. I reached out to Curtis and I didn’t get a response back.
There’s a chance Jamie Lee Curtis is going to be one of the stars in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. I can see her playing anything from a rebel to an ex-Imperial. She really has the power to play any of those parts and has a bit of that star quality that Carrie Fisher had we don’t really see much anymore. If this is accurate, it is more inspired casting for The Mandalorian and I really hope this one pans out as I think she’s fantastic. [via Making Star Wars]
At this time, season two of The Mandalorian — which sees Rosario Dawson join the cast as fan-favorite Jedi Ahsoka Tano — is set to his Disney+ in October. The second season, which was already filming while season one was airing, reportedly finished production earlier this month.
