Former The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has outed her ex-husband AJ Discala for allegedly stealing her money from the show when they were married. Siggler makes the claims in her new memoir And So It Is.

According to excerpts from her new book, Jamie-Lynn Sigler says that her ex-husband AJ Discala stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in her earnings from the show when they were married from 2003 to 2005. When the pair got married, Sigler was 22-years-old and Discala was 32.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler reveals her ex-husband AJ Discala allegedly stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from her Sopranos earnings

In the book, Sigler says she recruited a family-friend accountant took inspect the couple’s finances and they allegedly found that hundreds of thousands of dollars went missing.

“I didn’t even know how much money I had or what I was worth,” Sigler says in the book.

“The forensic accountant broke down what he believed had been happening. I would be paid a certain amount per episode for The Sopranos, and that would go into my corporation account. The next day, a portion of that money would be moved to our joint account for living expenses… [a week later] a much smaller but still sizable amount of that money from our joint account would be moved to a different account that I didn’t have access to or know about.“

Discala, a former finance executive, is currently serving a 138-month federal prison sentence for securities and wire fraud conspiracy in a multimillion-dollar market manipulation scheme after being convicted in 2018.

The Sopranos — in which Sigler played Meadow Soprano, the daughter of the iconic lead character Tony Soprano — ran on HBO from 1999 to 2007 and is widely considered to be one of if not the greatest American television show ever made. Since The Sopranos, Sigler has appeared in TV shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Entourage (as herself), Ugly Betty, Last Man Standing, Dads, Big Sky, and Grey’s Anatomy.

And So It Is…: A Memoir of Acceptance and Hope was published on May 5 and is now available for purchase at book stores.
